Heroes for human rights

Linked to Childnet is the My Hero website that aims to bring children into current events by celebrating their heroes. The current work is linked to the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights so there's a spur to bring idealism and equalities issues into the citizenship classroom - with back-up from a teachers' section with lesson plans and suggestions for curriculum work.
