Holiday farce

31st July 1998 at 01:00
THE EDUCATION select committee proposal on holidays is amazing. If there is one perk that makes the job at least bearable then it is the holidays.

I have been wrestling with whether to use my information technology skills and leave the profession. Any change in the holiday entitlement, and I will be off.

Are we sure that it is the "best graduates'' we want? I have not always found the best graduates to be the best teachers.
