Ian Brew, vice-principal of Emmanuel college

* Ian Brew, vice-principal of Emmanuel college, has been appointed principal of Trinity academy, at Thorne, Doncaster.

The South Yorkshire school will be the third of six academies planned in the north of England by the Emmanuel Schools Foundation, which is run by the Vardy Foundation. Mr Brew will take up his post in September, a year before the academy opens.
