The Engineering and Marine Training Authority and Smallpeice Trust are offering 450 lower-sixth girls studying maths and science the chance to spend a week at university sampling engineering as a possible career. The programmes take place in June and July and applications must be in by March 14. The top 20 applicants will be sent to Helsinki. Details from EMTA on 0800 282167.
