parachute FOR LIFE

Do you fancy trying a "tandem skydive" from 10,000 feet attached to a professional instructor or a "static line" jump solo from 3,000 feet? The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust is looking for 500 adventurous volunteers to make a sponsored parachute jump to aid its fight against leukaemia. The jump is free if you raise enough sponsorship. The scheme is running all year from 24 British Parachute Association approved airfields. Full training is given. Details: 01865 875757.

GUARDIAN FAMILIES NEEDED

BECOME A HOMELANGUAGE TEACHER

HOMESTAY PROVIDERS' NETWORK

This national group represents homestay provider organisations and host teachers and homestay providers in the UK's English as a Foreign Language sector. Homestay involves the overseas student staying with a British family and studying in an EFL school during the day.For an annual membership of pound;75 organisations, pound;10 individuals, services include representation, monitoring of the new British Council accreditation scheme, promotion, regional group meetings and a World Wide Web forum for discussionexchange of ideas. AUTISM ONLINE LIBRARY

Autism Initiatives, formerly the Liverpool and Lancashire Autistic Society, is establishing a training resource library on autism and related disorders for parents, carers, siblings, students, teachers, doctors and other professionals. It will provide a database of articles available over the Internet and employment, training and education for diagnosed individuals. A Website questionnaire has been set up at www.mersinet.co.uklalas to help them to assess how useful the service will be.
