International Children's Book Fair in Bologna

31st March 2006 at 01:00
There were more rock legends this week at the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna where Ahmet Zappa, the son of Frank Zappa, was celebrating a three-book deal with Puffin Books for his fantasy adventures for eight-plus, starting with The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless, in August. It's the story of 11-year-old monsterminator Miranda McFearless.

Puffin calls it "Lemony Snicket meets the Addams family" and believes it will "turn non-readers into readers". Disney film to follow.

More Bologna news next week and on
