Internet abuse report

30th January 2004 at 00:00
Every time a new issue emerges on child pornography and the internet there is a backlash against children using the internet. While it is important for teachers and educationists to resist knee-jerk reactions, this is a serious issue. So it's well worth visiting the website of the NCH, the children's charity whose report on the link between child abuse and paedophile internet pornography recently hit the headlines. Here you can view the report and see the range of support and links provided by the NCH.

It also has practical support for home use you can point parents to. While chat-room use is more of a problem at home than at school, it is an issue that teachers need to be aware of.
