Scholars who belong to the best academic libraries already have on-line access to the full text of many educational research journals. They might not have fully exploited it yet: just remembering the passwords is my problem. However, resources such as the Bath Information and Distribution Service (BIDS) are making the Internet a very rich environment for academics.

BIDS' ingentaJournals site is at and gives access to complete texts from research journals direct to subscribing institutions. Publishers' own sites (like Carfax at are an important part of the picture too.

Those outside academe have a good chance to see the sort of thing they're missing at Triangle Press's free site. will let you find, read and download all the full texts from current issues of 15 educational journals.
