Interview time

Your job and career questions answered

Q: I have been at my school for about 18 months and am now looking for a new post. Will I be given time off for interviews?

A: Yes, you should be. Even if you are called for a number of interviews and aren't appointed each time, your school should just accept the situation.

It might be a different case if they heard you were being offered posts and kept turning them down.
