Created by the Science Museum, Peter Symonds College and MWR, a producer of online learning materials in Winchester, Making the Modern World Online provides a history of science and invention and demonstrates how science has affected our daily lives. It provides resources for pupils aged 14 to 19 and has won several awards including Best Education Site and Best Overall Site at last year's Museums and the Web Conference in Vancouver. The site has now reached one million worldwide users.
