It's Christmas time

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat and Learning and Teaching Scotland is inviting modern languages teachers to add to its bank of Christmas resources in the modern foreign languages environment.

Existing ideas include a website promoting "moins de dechets" or "less waste" at Christmas; another website where teachers can hear and read the lyrics of French songs and carols; and Vive No l, which lets children write to P re No l online.

The German section offers teachers access to the story about the creation of "Stille Nacht", or "Silent Night", in Austria. is an Italian site which explains traditions such as candy canes and Christmas bells. The Spanish section looks at Christmas in Mexico (pictured) and Bolivia.
