Playground clapping and skipping could be played on Nintendo Wii-style computers if new prototype games prove a success. London University's Institute of Education and Sheffield and East London universities teamed up with the British Library and gaming giant Nintendo to develop the games. Researchers will use recordings of playground games and songs held by the British Library, as well as collect modern examples direct from today's school playgrounds.
