It's that woman again
I am constantly aggrieved by the foul language that is used, particularly by today's youth, in everyday speech. Many people are unable to utter the shortest sentence without peppering it with the "F" word. I would hope that the more intelligent among us would have a wider vocabulary and avoid the need for such words. So, I was astounded to find that Anne Thrope's ranting article (9 September) contained the offending word. Maybe it's just me - but no. After pointing out the article to everyone in the staffroom, the consensus was that there was no need to have used it. It wasn't a quote, nor did it make the sentence any more meaningful.
