And finally, a bit of a riddle. It is the "heart of man, pumping life". It is "the Om of meditation". It is the "pole star flickering in the distance, burning brightly, keenly, guiding us all". And "that jewel on the M6 - its gaze reaching all". We are, of couse, talking about Birmingham. The description comes from a poem by the reigning "poet laureate of Birmingham" Roshan Doug for the city's Learning City in Europe conference this week.
