Job switch for top head

Anthony Seldon, the headmaster of Brighton College, will leave the Pounds 17,500-a-year private school at Christmas after eight years in charge.

Dr Seldon, a vocal supporter of increasing access to private schools and breaking down barriers between the state and independent sector, will take over the helm at Wellington College, Berkshire. His successor has not yet been named.
