Judges go to the zoo

20th September 1996 at 01:00
The Book Trust and Nestle Smarties are looking for 60 classes of schoolchildren to become Smarties Book Prize Young Judges. They will review and vote on the books shortlisted for the Smarties Gold Award for their age category and, if successful, will attend the award ceremony at London Zoo in November and receive a visit from a winning author. To enter they and their teacher must send in a form by September 30 explaining in an imaginative and colourful way why they would make good Young Judges. Forms can be obtained from: Maggie Chrystal, Book Trust, Book House, 45 East Hill, London SW18 2QZ. Tel: 0181 870 9055.
