Just guess the gifted

Plans to require pupils applying to university to say whether they are members of the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth have been abandoned for this year.

The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service said the box will not be included in this year's form. But the academy is to meet board members to discuss including the tick box next year.
