Kent - Centenary celebrations take off

16th July 2010 at 01:00

Pupils from Canterbury Road Primary in Sittingbourne, Kent, enjoyed a balloon release as part of the school's centenary celebrations.

It was the end of a week-long series of events, which included pupils studying social history from different decades and a 1910 fancy-dress morning.

Ex-staff and pupils were invited to write in the remembrance book and leave a handprint on the centenary wall. DM.
