The kids can wait

It took Rona Kennedy, heidie of Kirkhill Primary in Newton Mearns, to put teacher stress in its proper perspective when she told the audience at the official opening of the school's pound;2 million extension: "We are the first state school in Scotland to have a sensory room fitted. But the pupils will find it hard to get in to benefit from the soothing lights and sounds - as the staff will be in there recovering from our own stress."
