(Photograph) - Jack McConnell, the First Minister, was grilled by six pupils from three Edinburgh primaries for the children's magazine Whatever!

Mr McConnell revealed that sporting achievements were one of the things that inspired him as a youngster, such as those of Alan Wells and David Wilkie After the meeting, Fiona Dalgleish of Granton primary said that Mr McConnell was "nicer than I expected him to be."
