Laptop porn hearing

A teacher who accidentally showed pornography to pupils on his laptop faces being struck off the teaching register. A General Teaching Council for Wales disciplinary panel heard that James Cooney showed a film containing "graphic sexual images" to his class at Sandfields Comprehensive in Port Talbot instead of an educational DVD. Mr Cooney later resigned but did not face criminal charges as it was decided he had not broken the law. The hearing in Cardiff, which was held in private, was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
