Laptop puzzle

AN INSURANCE man came to my house the other day and took out the laptop given to him by his employer.

He takes it home and does paperwork on it rather than on paper. He does his job much beter because of it. Strangely, he didn't have to pay 50 per cent of its cost out of his own pocket. Puzzling that, isn't it?
