As Adult Learners' Week draws to a close, we highlight a ground-breaking programme that is going national

* Lauder College in Dunfermline has been rated highly by inspectors in their latest review. It picked up seven very goods and one good in the cross-college functions that affect the quality of the student experience.

Of eight subjects studied by HMI, which account for nearly 70 per cent of the college's provision, 38 per cent of grades were classed as very good, 54 per cent as good and 8 per cent as fair.
