In the year which sees the 70th anniversary of the death of TE Lawrence, a major new exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London reveals the life of this extraordinary man, including his early years, his wartime exploits in the Middle East, his post-war service career and writings, and how his story became legend. His life and career continue to have an enduring fascination, with a significant resurgence of interest as a result of the current conflict in Iraq. The exhibition runs from October 14 to April 17, 2006. Groups 10+ pound;4 (pre-booking essential, tel: 020 7416 5439; email: groups@iwm.org.uk); www.iwm.org.uk
