Leader expelled

Nick De Marco, the student union leader cleared of charges connected with the flour and paint attack on Tory party chairman Dr Brian Mawhinney, has lost his final appeal against expulsion from Kingsway College in London.

A college spokesman said the expulsion of Mr De Marco, branch president of the National Union of Students, followed an occupation of the college, which was a serious discipline breach.
