Toytown is going multilingual as it introduces its first new character for 14 years, aimed at teaching languages to pre-school children. Noddy's latest friend is Whizz the Robot, who can speak English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Swahili and Urdu. The first of 100 two-minute sections called "Say it with Noddy" will be shown on Channel Five from next week during the Milkshake! block at 7.30am.
