Lessons in leadership

8th January 2010 at 00:00

This year, the Harvard Graduate School of Education will offer a new doctoral degree in education leadership, its first new degree in 74 years. School officials say the Doctor of Education Leadership Program is the education equivalent of a law or medical degree. The three-year programme will begin in August with 25 students. It is designed to give students a deep understanding of teaching and learning, as well as the management and leadership skills required to help transform the American education sector.
