Letters Extra : Retire at 65. What a thought!

4th July 2003 at 01:00
I am a teacher with 31 years experience in Junior, Middle, Secondary and Special Education. I had hoped to retire innbsp;five years time with a reasonable pension. Now I find I may have to go on until I am 65. What a thought!

One way the Government could persuade me to stay is to give menbsp;three months paid leave for me to do exactly as I want so I can recharge the batteries and feel valued.
