Lib Dem is Hobson's choice

2nd April 2004 at 01:00
Sandra Hobson, a former prostitute and primary school governor, is standing as a Liberal Democrat candidate in a council election.

The 62-year-old hit the headlines in 1998 when her trade was exposed after she asked Channel 5's Housebusters team to make her home, from which she worked, more attractive to men.

She hopes to be elected as a councillor for Bradley Stoke's Baileys Court ward on South Gloucestershire council on the April 22 election.

Ms Hobson is already a member of Bradley Stoke's town council and is chairman of the town's Twinning Association.
