Life mapped out in Narnia

10th December 2004 at 00:00
If inspector Geoff Jepson has been reading the right children's books, he will know that his career is already mapped out for him (TES, November 12).

I quote from The Silver Chair by CS Lewis, in which the head is associated with bullying.

"After that, the head's friends saw that the head was no use as a head, so they got her made an inspector to interfere with other heads. And when they found she wasn't much good even at that, they got her into parliament where she lived happily ever after."
