Verna Allette Wilkins's The Life of Stephen Lawrence was published earlier this year to great acclaim (Friday magazine, April 20). This illustrated biography of the black teenager from south London, murdered in 1993, is aimed at upper primary pupils and above. This week it had a second launch in the London borough of Greenwich, Stephen's home, on the eve of Greenwich council's annual lecture in his memory.
