Lincolnshire - Academy staff fear the axe

Schools in the Lincolnshire Federation Academy are to face support staff cuts, according to recent reports.

Dinner ladies at Priory Witham Academy and the Lincoln City Academy, both in Lincoln, are expected to lose their jobs.

The federation, which is independent from other schools in the county, is reported to make further cuts on teaching assistants, cleaning staff, caretakers and kitchen staff.

Staff told the Lincolnshire Echo: "We have not had anything official or in writing to say we are finishing, but we have had it from the horse's mouth."

However, the federation refused to comment. gl.
