Modern foreign languages for primary pupils will be examined at the Bilingualism and Languages Network's annual conference on February 7 at a University of London venue. Speakers include Professor Eric Hawkins of York University, on "The education of the ear". Other topics include: methodology, a creative introduction of grammar, combining information technology and language skills, and extending curriculum content to science. Fee: Pounds 60.
