LSC appointments

John Cridland, deputy director general of the Confederation of British Industry, is one of three new appointments to the Learning and Skills Council.

He joins the funding quango's national council along with Malcolm Trobe, outgoing president of the Association of School and College Leaders, and Professor Deian Hopkin, vice-chancellor of London South Bank University.
