Making a prize entrance

Pupils at Old Ford primary, Tower Hamlets, east London, have won a prestigious design award for their new school gates. Children drew each other and the designs were then incorporated into brightly coloured steel gates by artist Helena Roden. The gates were awarded first prize in the 20th anniversary Art and Work awards.
