A hall full of four-year-old composers is on view in the video Making and Inventing Music. They're not all Mozarts, but the beneficiaries of pioneering work done by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in East Renfrewshire nurseries. The viewer is taken through the process from teacher Inset - staff development plays a vital role - via classroom workshops with professional musicins to a final performance. The accompanying pack explains how to make joyful occasions happen in other settings where adults supply the expertise but children call the tune.
