Mammal monitors

Young people aged 12 to 18 can win Pounds 75 by watching a mammal. The 1996 Bonner Awards administered by Mammalaction, the youth section of the Mammal Society, will award prizes for the best field notes and the most comprehensive field sketches.

These can record a single species or individual mammal or a number of visits to a habitat. Closing date: October 11. For entry form and free fact sheet on making field notes, send large SAE to: The Bonner Awards, The Mammal Society, 15 Cloisters House, 8 Battersea Park Road, London SW8 4BG.
