Management software

14th September 2001 at 01:00
schools ought to welcome the Common Management Information Strategy software. Essential school information has been distilled into a format acceptable to local authorities, the inspectorate, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and the Government.

In May, schools should have begun using a common form to handle pupil transfers and by October all schools should have a management system capable of storing the data. Heads can see what's available at the following websites: www.dfee.gov.ukims www.becta.org.ukschoolssmanagerscmis.html
