Marshall your forces

A competition to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Marshall Plan, the United States programme of assistance to help Europe rebuild devastated cities and national economies after the Second World War, has been launched by the US Embassy and the networking website Bebo.

The contest, Digitally Linking Generations, run in partnership with the Imperial War Museum, invites participants to interview people about their memories of reconstruction in Britain after the war and post these on Bebo.

It is hoped the initiative will inform a new generation about the post-war period.
