Maths mastered

12th February 2010 at 00:00

In the feature "Lost for words" (TES Magazine, January 29) it was incorrectly stated that there are no resources available on literacy in maths on the National Strategies web area.

We have been promoting communication and language in maths for some time and there is much information about it on the site. Literacy in maths support for secondary schools can be accessed on the secondary area of the National Strategies web area at: under "Pedagogy" by clicking on "Literacy across the curriculum".

Clive Bush, National director secondary, the National Strategies.
