The Meningitis Trust

14th September 2007 at 01:00

The Meningitis Trust is running an awareness campaign, aimed at teenagers, designed to make them think, briefly but effectively, about a disease that kills too many of their contemporaries. Schools will receive posters and pupils can order symptom cards. A website provides materials that can be used in lessons on PSHE, citizenship and science. If only a few of the targeted three million youngsters become more aware of symptoms and of the need for quick medical action, the campaign will be justified in young lives saved.

The Meningitis Trust can be contacted at Fern House, Bath Road, Stroud, GL5 3TJ. Tel: 01453 768000. Fax: 01453 768001. Email: helpline: 0845 6000 800. Website: Interactive website:
