Merging school prospectuses with annual reports to parents

A SUPPOSEDLY minor consultation on merging school prospectuses with annual reports to parents has prompted 583 responses - more than the 421 to the agenda-setting green paper.

Ministers have now quietly dropped the plan, intended to reduce bureaucracy, after the "overwhelming majority" of respondents argued that the two documents served different purposes and audiences.
