Teachers with a computer at home may want to link remotely to school networks. Laplink 2000 Academic is a software package that does just this. Once installed on machines in both locations, it allows users at home to work on files on the school network, open e-mail remotely and, best of all, send work prepare at home to the linked school machine for printing on the classroom's printer in the dead of night. Laplink also has security settings to control remote access to data. Cost depends on user numbers, but is likely to be aroundpound;35 for each one.
