Milk warning

A SCIENTIST has warned that milk could be infected with a disease-causing bacterium, even if it is pasteurised.

Professor John Hermon-Taylor of St George's medical school in London claims that pasteurisation does no destroy the carrier of Crohn's disease, which causes chronic diarrhoea, stomach pain and weight loss, and affects thousands of people a year. He has called for rigorous monitoring and testing of dairy herds.
