Molly coddled

I am amazed that some schools are banning conkers, marbles, and doing three-legged races because of the risks of being sued.

I would contend that children should sue schools and parents for the psychological damage they are sustaining if they are not being permitted to take part in normal rough and tumble! Thrills and spills in the playground prepare our young people for the big wide world, which doesn't feather-bed us when we trip up.
