Language students are being given the chance to win more than pound;3,000 at this year's European Awards for Languages.
CILT, a language learning organisation, has begun its search for the UK's top language-learning initiatives.
Schools, colleges, businesses and community organisations have until the end of April to provide evidence of creative, motivating and inspirational projects, in order to stand a chance of winning an award, resources and cash prizes.
Creators of shortlisted projects will earn the right to present their work in person before a panel of judges, and the winners will receive their awards from Sir Trevor McDonald, the broadcaster, at a ceremony in the autumn.
The prizes include an award of pound;1,000 from the Training and Development Agency for Schools for the best project in initial teacher education.
Projects can involve any language other than English and should be based in the UK.
