Morale message

23rd March 2001 at 00:00
In 1347, the Mogul army catapulted plague victims into the besieged city of Caffa to frighten and demoralise its inhabitants. The Labour party has repeated the tactic by catapulting Chris Wodhead into the Tory camp as a general election looms.
