More cash for uniform grants

School uniform grants for the poorest children are to rise from pound;85 to pound;95 in 2006-7. The Assembly government has set aside pound;750,000 for the scheme, launched last year, for new Year 7 pupils entitled to free school meals. The grants are administered by local education authorities.
