Levels of support in fees, loans and grants to higher education students in Wales are set to rise by 2.5 per cent in line with rates of inflation for 20089, it was announced last week. Non-repayable tuition fee grants, now available for students who normally live and choose to stay and study in Wales, will increase from pound;1,845 in 20078 to pound;1,890 for 20089 after a UK-wide increase in tuition fees. .
