More the merrier for volleyball

(Photograph) - The Scottish Volleyball Association put enthusiasm before ability at the BP TourFest at Irvine's Magnum Leisure Centre last week.

More than 200 players from secondary schools in Ayrshire, Dumfriesshire, Lanarkshire and Glasgow took part in the festival organised by the association's school and youth commission in conjunction with Team Sport Scotland.

Jess Reid, SVA schools representative and a teacher at Marr College in Troon, says: "We encouraged schools to send as many teams as possible rather than selecting their best players."
